A Raven's Wing- Support and Accountability Service

A few years back, a friend had sent me a video she found on TikTok- the video featured a woman who was talking about how it seemed like people were surprised by life, and how once you are an adult, there’s no one to tell you to do things like make your bed, do the dishes, or offer support on the most mundane things in life. Goals, she said (and I sort of paraphrase from memory here- I can't find the video now) were something that one must do alone- no one is there to hold your hand. It’s our job as adults to…well do our adult jobs.

Image is a woman being overwhelmed with responsibilities.
Being overwhelmed is the worst! It can lead to anxiety, freezing and depression.

And she’s right in a way. In the end of all things, only you can be responsible for you. However, what struck me, and what still sticks with me to this day is that we don’t have to be alone. We can have supportive friends, family, and community. And maybe that isn’t enough, because our friends, family and community also have their own responsibilities. Or we simply lack that sort of support in our lives. Which is why I’d like to throw in another option- “professional” support. This comes in many ways. Therapists offer support. Usually not so much in the area mundane things (household tasks, work tasks, projects, etc) but they often look at our “weaknesses” and “problems” and offer encouragement in the areas we are focusing on, as well as in goal setting.

The same can be said of priests and priestesses, ministers, and clergy of all religions and spiritualities. Again, mundane things like cooking, cleaning and minor goal setting might be outside their usual focus, but many like me aren’t opposed to cheering people on as they try to overcome their struggles- even the things that seem unimportant. We know better. The highest self is a well-self-cared-for self. I know from experience that if I’m struggling to keep my house organized, I’m struggling in other areas. Even the easiest task felt overwhelming and daunting, and at times, it would prevent me from accomplishing ANY goals.

The more I think about this need, the more I feel called to step up. And so that’s why I’m excited to introduce a new program and service for Liminal Raven Ministries. I call it "A Raven’s Wing: Support and Accountability Service."

So, what is it?

It’s simple. It’s a program of support and encouragement. I’m not here to plan your goals for you. I’m not going to tell you how to go about getting things done. I am here to pester you gently and empower you with support and encouragement. I’m here for you to check in with. I’m a little like your personal cheerleader.

Support is available!!

This will be mostly an email service. The goals and check ins are based on your needs- it can physical needs (encouragement to go the gym, take walks, eat better, making the bed, doing the dishes, cooking dinner), mental needs (taking breaks, seeing a therapist, keeping a journal), emotional needs (setting personal boundaries, not holding in emotions) and spiritual needs (meditating practice, exploring spiritual paths, finding more joy in life) as well as goal setting itself. Have a big project that is overwhelming you? Break it down into steps and ask me to check in on you. Have you taken that first step? What little thing have you done today? What got in your way?

There are different options for everyone.

First, there is a free option. It is a simple, monthly email newsletter from me that just promotes goal motivation and accountability- it’ll be a generalized, en masse check in and other information. It might range from asking questions on what steps you took this month, to encouragement, as well as how to deal with setbacks. This option is great for anyone not wanting, or are unable to pay but want some inspiration and reminders. It’s an excellent option for those of you that are good at self-regulation and reflection.

I will also offer several paid- personalized service options, for those that want more accountability options. These are all offered as service tiers through my ko-fi.

Image of a black feather and the words "Feather $3 monthly"
Feather- $3 Monthly Tier

At the $3 month tier, called Feather- you will get the email monthly newsletter, but also a personal one-on-one email, for each month you pay. Each email will be individualized to you and what you need- whether it’s encouragement, goal check-in and even reminders. Sample emails might ask:

•          “How are you doing, and how is your vision looking?”

•          “What steps have you taken to achieve your goal?”

•          On a scale of 1-10, how close are you to achieving, maintaining your journey, or continuing your path to this goal?”

It will also have words of encouragement, and celebration of whatever victories you are seeing.

And if you aren’t doing so well, I will include ways to help get you back in the direction you want to go- with reassurance and the promotion of self-forgiveness.

Anyone on this tier is welcome to respond to my email and provide updates so I can continue to encourage you the following months, and I will respond at least once, if it seems like you need the additional support.

Wing- $5 montly tier

At the $5 a month tier, called Wing, you get a bit more. This tier is identical to the Feather tier, only you get support twice a month. You will get the email monthly newsletter, plus two personal one-on-one emails, for each month you pay. Each email will be individualized to you and what you need- whether it’s encouragement, goal check-in and even reminders.

I think that the increasing frequency increases the depths and enrichment of our conversation, as well as my support. Anyone on this tier is welcome to respond to my email and provide updates so I can continue to encourage you the following months, and I will respond at least once per email.

Image of a Raven in a nest, with the words "Nest $10 monthly"
Nest- $10 monthly tier

The $10 a month tier is called Nest. This tier is identical to the Feather and Wing tiers, only you get support weekly. You will get the email monthly newsletter, plus personal one-on-one emails each week (the day of the week may vary), for each month you pay. Each email will be individualized to you and what you need- whether it’s encouragement, goal check-in and even reminders.

On top of the weekly emails. each member of this tier will receive a monthly postcard delivered to their address! These postcards will be hand written messages and personalized for you.

Image of a flying raven about to land on a branch, with the words "Flight $20 montly"
Flight- $20 monthly tier

At the $20 a month tier, called Flight- you get the same as above but with additional bonuses. You will get the email monthly newsletter, plus the personal one-on-one emails each week (the day of the week may vary), for each month you pay. Each email will be individualized to you and what you need- whether it’s encouragement, goal check-in and even reminders.

On top of the weekly emails. each member of this tier will receive a monthly card with stickers delivered to their address! These cards will be handwritten and personalized for you. Some of these stickers will be handmade stickers by me as well, and sometimes they might be store bought.

Finally, members of this tier will be given the option to schedule a half hour zoom get together with me, to discuss your goals and plans and have online "in-person" support.

And all tiers will get a special gift for every 3 months of commitment!

All email newsletters are written by me, and never AI. All email correspondences will be written by me and never AI. The email newsletter will be sent by the 15th of each month. All physical items will be sent by the 20th of each month. Email correspondences vary, depending on your tier. (Dates may be subject to change, but I will keep everyone updated.)

So if you are in need of a helping hand, some words of kindness, encouragement or just some simple accountability- join me over at Ko-Fi. I'm super excited to reach out and help. We might be adults, but adulting is hard sometimes. And we can sit back and tell ourselves that adulting sucks, and it's lonely, and overwhelming and there's nothing we can do about it, or we can come together and support one another. I'm definitely choosing the latter- because even if I struggle, or worse- fail- at least I tried, right?
